The city is still and vacant, its crowds having fled for another world. A lone scavenger skates abandoned streets, combing gutters and alleys for artifacts. A doll, a single key, a cracked pair of eyeglasses... These mementos are a faint echo of the old world—light from a dying star. But some warmth does indeed remain in this bunch of homely bric-a-brac. Back at the shelter, the Collector adds each new-found piece to a curious collection—a requiem to humanity.

I think my favourite one was this story of someone skating through the dead city in a hazmat suit, it sucks you into this world with you waiting for the big reveal.
— Brian MacNamara, TL; DR
I like the sequence during “Make Art Not Friends” where a skateboarder in a hazmat suit traverses a ghost town looking for little trinkets and decorations to bring back to an underground bunker, like a live-action adult version of WALL-E.
— Rob Harvilla, The Ringer
I was … really into the live-action(?) section with the flaming skateboard and the woman in the yellow hazmat suit, which had strong Back to the Future vibes. It struck that satirical mix of irreverence and dread that I associate with '80s movies like Escape from New York, They Live, and The Running Man.
