The city is still and vacant, its crowds having fled for another world. A lone scavenger skates abandoned streets, combing gutters and alleys for artifacts. A doll, a single key, a cracked pair of eyeglasses... These mementos are a faint echo of the old world—light from a dying star. But some warmth does indeed remain in this bunch of homely bric-a-brac. Back at the shelter, the Collector adds each new-found piece to a curious collection—a requiem to humanity.
